Kindermusik Musicians Year 1, Semester 1

Kindermusik Musicians (previously Young Child 1&2), is the capstone of the Kindermusik program. It is a sequential 4 semester (2 year) program where students learn to read notes from the staff, read rhythms, learn musical terms and learn to play 3 instruments: the glockenspiel (a barred instrument), the dulcimer (a string instrument) and the recorder (a wind instrument). When they have completed the 2 year program, they are prepared for success in private music instruction. In year 1 of Kindermusik Musicians, children will use the glockenspiel. In year 2, the dulcimer is presented in the fall semester and then the recorder in the spring semester.

Thank you for being a wonderful and patient teacher to my son and many children. Wesley is a much happier kid since we went to class yesterday. The bells are really great and can see them being tool for learning impulse control.
