Kindermusik Musicians Year 2, Semester 2

In Kindermusik Musicians Year 2, Semester 2, we will focus on learning to play a wind instrument – the recorder!  Kindermusik Musicians 1 focused on the glockenspiel, which will still be our learning instrument for Kindermusik Musicians 2.  Last semester we focused on the dulcimer.  After this semester, children who have completed the Kindermusik Musicians program will have learned to play a keyboard/percussion instrument (glockenspiel), a string instrument (dulcimer) and a wind instrument (recorder).  We will have successfully completed learning to read all basic rhythms (quarter notes and rests, eighth notes and rests, half notes and rests) and all notes from the treble clef staff.  We learned to identify by sight and sound the instruments of the percussion, brass, string and woodwind families of instruments.  We learned a lot of music terminology.  And, experienced the music of a variety of cultures.  Graduates are prepared for success in private music instruction.

“

Thank you for being a wonderful and patient teacher to my son and many children. Wesley is a much happier kid since we went to class yesterday. The bells are really great and can see them being tool for learning impulse control.
